1904

Beginnings

George Naassana & Sons is established in Abdine, Cairo by a family of Syrian businessmen trading bicycles.

1930s

Expansion Into Import

Naassana brothers expand the business as they begin importing bicycles from Europe (UK, Hungary) as well as Asia (Japan).

1950s

Expansion Into Motorcycle Industry

George Naassana & sons expand into the motorcycle industry importing UK brands Triumph and BSA as well as the Hungarian Panonia.

1958

JAWA Partnership

George Naassana & Sons became the first to import Czechoslovak motorcycle JAWA to the Egyptian market. They continue as sole Egyptian agents of JAWA until 2005, when JAWA closes its factory doors.

1970s

Indian Market Entry

Begin importing complete bicycles and spareparts for Indian companies Avon and Atlas.

1980s

Network Expansion

Under next generation of family leadership, the company expands its offerings and establishes stronger distribution networks across Egypt.

1990s

HANCO Launch

Hanco motorcycle brand established.

2005

Expansion To China

HANCO launches partnership with Chinese motorcycle brand Antaeus. HANCO successfully operates an assembly line for 9 years between 2005-14.
